Power Analyzer, WT500

Programmable AC power source, 61511
Using the state of the art PWM technology, the  model 61511 can deliver the maximum output voltage up to 300Vac and output frequency from 15Hz to 1500Hz. The AC+DC modes extend the applications not only for providing pure AC voltage, but also DC component for DC offset testing in laboratory.The 61511 AC source is capable of delivering up to 4 times of peak current compared to its maximum rated current that makes it ideal for inrush current test. This model possess the ability to generate pure sine waveform output with typical distortion less than 0.3% at 50/60H.

Load Resistor, MV1100
Load resistor MV1100 contains three ganged resistors with continuous spindle regulation. The resistors are connected to terminals for 3-Phase, single-phase, and DC voltage . The current in the resistor is limited by tubular wire fuses in each phase. The unit has handles and wheels for simple and quick movement and is enclosed in a perforated metal cabinet . A cooling fan is placed in the bottom of the resistor.

Experimental setup for PMSM
This experimental setup consists of a 1.93kW permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) equipped with an absolute multi-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder, mounted on an adjustable T-slot base plate using Magtrol AMF-3 adjustable fixture. Alternatively, a 1.5kW induction motor can be used replacing the PMSM. The motor is coupled with Magtrol AHB Hysteresis Brake (choice between model AHB-3 or AHB-12) which produces the required load torque for testing purposes. The brake was controlled by Magtrol DSP6001 controller, which can be programmed using Magtrol M-TEST 5.0 Motor Testing software. Magtrol M-TEST 5.0 software is also a visualisation software, where the motor torque and speed can be displayed. These data were provided by TMB 307/411 in-line torque and speed transducer. The output load torque produced is controlled by a PID controller embedded inside the DSP6001 controller. Other than that, this setup is also equipped with a three-phase Power Analyser Magtrol Model 6530.

Grid Tied-PV Modules System
The PV system consist of three types; first type is Poly-Crystalline PV modules (MITSUBISHI brand) contains 16 modules. with peak power of 125W. The total installed capacity of this type is (2.0) kWp with a total area of (16.12) m2. The second type is Mono-Crystalline PV models (SHELL brand) contains 27 modules with peak power of 75W. The total installed capacity of this type is (2.025) kWp with a total area of (17.07) m2. The third type is Thin-Film (SHARP brand) contains 20 modules with peak power of 135W.

Inverters And PV Mentoring System
This system is using three DC/AC inverters, one for each type of PV modules which was supplied by SMA Solar Technology. The three inverters types are SMA string inverters, two rated of 1600W and one of 2500W at rated 230V and 50Hz. The entire system including system status, weather data, inverters are reported and monitored to assist the system performance. However, to continuously monitor the system, data logger (SMA data logger) is attached with the system
